What is Kinesiology?

Kinesiology is the study and research of human movement in all its dimensions. Undergraduate study focuses on:

  • physical growth, development, and body form throughout the life span
  • the effects of therapeutic exercise and rehabilitation
  • the instructional process of teaching/coaching of physical activity and sport

Kinesiology provides students with an excellent education, preparing them for a broad scope of career interests.. Within their studies, students are allowed to focus on a specific correlate, ranging from physical education to pre-medicine. Graduates of Kinesiology make-up a very diverse group of professionals.
